Sun Station
They say I’ll be alright, My eyes shut tight Against the damage done
He says I’m easier than leaving her, or finding some new drug
See I’ve been wheeling like I’m ancient Bending yet to break
They say I’m healing But I’m feeling, like I’m wasting- away
Follow the sun and lift my eyes
Try to revive her, oh but she’s over my head,
she’s over my head And she’s drifting into the light
They say the sadness fades And day by day, the vessel fills back in
They say I’ll come to terms, I’ll live and learn I’ll be myself again
but I’ve felt more or less a vapor Capable of breath
Try to remember Limb by limb, the girl you wasted – in wait
Follow the sun and lift my eyes, try to revive her, oh
But she’s over my head, she’s over my head And she’s drifting into the light
And I know more or less there maybe A way to keep from fading
If my bones can bear to stay
Live in between the lines
Believe in the brightest lie
They say, they say that I’m healing, but I’m feeling, like I’m drifting away
Follow the sun and lift my eyes, try to revive her, oh
But she’s over my head, she’s over my head And she’s drifting into the light
They Say I’m healing but I’m feeling like I’m never ever coming back
I gotta fade, so I get faded
Three Graces
Oh my sisters, where have you gone?
The sun in setting know, it’s time we’re getting back to brighter days,
I felt a change, I heard it on the wind, the sun was setting then
And we’re still running now, across the yard, into our willow’s loving arms
I’ll never leave you never leave you now.
Oh my sisters, my how you’ve grown - the light is reaching long, I fear I’m just strong enough
To walk away, on the day those girls would make you cry, you’ll run til it turns light
And you’re still running now, away for me
Into a darkness where I never learned to see
I cannot follow cannot follow you
Oh my sister, teach me to run, the dark is reaching long,
the light is going, gone.
Oh my lovely, I’m not fit to keep you safe
I’m so sorry I can’t stand to take you hand
Lord above me, will your eyes follow her down?
Siren’s plan to drag us from this town…
Oh my sisters, m how you’ve grown
The light is reaching long, I fear I’m just strong enough
To walk away, on the day those girls would make you cry
You’ll run til it turns light
and you’re still running now, across the yard- into our willow’s loving arms
I’lll never leave you never leave you
and I cannot follow, but I’ll always love you
I came upon a mountain heart
And all the foolish little girls, say the heartless are less immature
But if prowess climbs a hilly yard, just waves across a grassy knoll
That you could ride your mower o'er
I came upon a mountain heart
It caused an ache in my belly, a sweat on my palm
My pace it stayed steady, but the distance was so long
Yeah the distance was long- the distance was long,
Yeah the distance was long
I came upon a mountain heart
And oh I saw its beauty pass, into a little photograph
That I've folded in my pocket tight
Close enough but out of sight, a phone call maybe once a night
Mountain Heart
I came upon a mountain heart
And craned my neck to see the tip, it was a little katydid
It was a'greener than I've ever seen them all
And tattered as it flew away, did limp a bit to ease the pain
I came upon a mountain heart
It caused an ache in my belly, a sweat on my brow
The height of it scared me, that's a long way to fall
That's a long way to fall- a long way to fall
That's a long way to fall
I came upon a mountain heart
It caused an ache in my belly, a sweat on my brow
The height of it scared me, that's a long way to fall
That's a long way to fall- a long way to fall
That old mountain heart
That old mountain heart
